Came to another cafe then saw Angora and was prompted to eat there because it was very neat and tidy, very spacious and the morning sun hit just right. Our food took less than 10 mins to arrive and it was made to perfection. Staff very polite and accommodative. Gave us dessert afterwards. Amazing service. 10/10 More

The Börek was exceptional! The delicate dough showed that the pastry chef had put so much care and patience into making it. The filling (I chose spinach) was very generous and full of flavour. My long black was great too.☕️ ☺️ More

By far the best breakfast I had in Sydney. Had a really lovely experience at this cafe. The breakfast was fresh, generous, and full of flavour — you can tell they care about the quality of their food. What made it even better was the owner, who was incredibly warm and welcoming. It felt more like being hosted than just served. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to!

Angora has quickly become our go-to spot, and for good reason. The coffee is consistently excellent, but what really sets this place apart is the incredibly warm and friendly service. From day one, they've made us feel like regulars - that genuine hospitality that's so rare to find these days.
The staff are always going above and beyond, surprising us with complimentary treats and little extras that show they truly care about their customers. And the Turkish breakfast? Absolutely amazing! Authentic, generous portions, and bursting with flavor.
Hunters Hill is so lucky to have Angora. It's more than just a café - it's become part of our community. Highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Such a beautiful spot right in the heart of Hunters Hill! The café has a really chic but comfy feel, and you get a gorgeous panoramic street view while you enjoy your food 🍮
I had the cheesecake, baklava, Trilece, a coffee, and a sticky chai — everything was so delicious! You can tell they really care about the quality. The drinks were packed with flavor and the presentation was next level 💯
It’s a lovely family-run business, and knowing the owner makes it even more special. They’re always so warm and welcoming — definitely say hi if you visit!
Highly recommend if you’re after amazing food, sweets, great coffee, and a place that feels like a little treat in the middle of your day 🌷

We love this cafe so much! We used to live in Hunters Hill and it was our favourite local spot, it became our daily ritual to swing by. The coffee and food is SO good, and the fresh in house made pastries are really impressive. The owners and team are so lovely and generous - they have gifted us lots of pastries to try and we have really appreciated it every time. We happily travel just to visit Angora. They also treat our little one like a king so he fully approves too and loves to visit. Highly recommend!

Lovely cafe recently taken over and run by a Turkish husband and wife team who live locally. Delicious food with some Turkish homemade specialties like Baklava and Borek. I've tried their Cilbir Turkish Eggs & their Turkish breakfast so far and both were excellent. Serving Tobys Estate coffee which is made by the owner who is a skilled barista.

The three types of Burek we tried from the side window were all excellent.
The staff were so hospitable and friendly as well.
We came for the pies next door and saw these on our way to the car and after trying pastries from both cafes, I can’t believe this Angora isn’t equally full.

This afternoon, I tried a meat burek pastry from Angora Cafe, and it was a delightful surprise. It resembles a traditional Aussie meat pie but has a completely different taste and texture. The pastry is soft and flaky, resembling a scroll with layers that hold the spiced meat filling. The meat filling is crumbly yet reduced, with no excess liquid, giving it a firm, fine texture. It’s aromatic and flavorful, with a bolder spice profile, offering a unique textured experience.
The burek doesn’t need sauce and feels more wholesome than hearty. I read that Europeans often eat these for breakfast, and I can see why—it’s a satisfying, protein-packed option that won’t leave you feeling overly full. There's also a vegetarian option, which I’m excited to try next time!

There’s no reason why a wheelchair wouldn’t be able to access the café. The path in the outdoor seating area is quite wide, and I’m sure you would be comfortably accommodated.

We visited this place for breakfast today and ordered the Turkish breakfast platter for two. Unfortunately, what we received was a complete disappointment. The plate looked nothing like the photos shown online. They served half of a simit for two people—something I’ve never seen before, especially as someone who is Turkish and very familiar with authentic Turkish breakfasts.
On top of that, the food was not fresh, completely tasteless, and had nothing to do with what a real Turkish breakfast should be. We paid $48 for this meal, and I can confidently say I’ve never had such poor quality and service for that price at any restaurant before.
When we expressed our concerns to the waiter, he said he would inform the owners (who I believe are also Turkish), but no one came to our table to explain or even acknowledge the issue. While paying the bill, the woman who seemed to be the owner had a very unpleasant and rude attitude—not even a simple apology was offered.
There was also a hair on top of my partner’s coffee, which we had to send back. That alone should have been removed from the bill, but it wasn’t. The tea was served cold, the water glasses were dirty, and the overall hygiene was disappointing.
I also work in hospitality, at a restaurant with 10 owners and 6 managers, and none of them would ever treat customers this way—regardless of who’s right or wrong, we always do our best to fix our mistakes.
This experience genuinely upset me. The attitude, the lack of professionalism, and the quality of the food were all unacceptable. If you’re looking for a real Turkish breakfast experience, I strongly do not recommend this place.
I will also be uploading photos of what was actually served.

I came here today for lunch with my family for the first time and we loved it! The air-conditioning was so refreshing on this boiling hot day. The staff were exceptionally friendly. The food was absolutely delicious, my kids loved their milkshakes. The place has a lovely ambience and feel to it, and the baclava was just the icing on the cake. We will definitely be back!

I can't recommend Angore Cafe and Bar enough! I've had the pleasure of trying their coffee, Turkish breakfast, and Turkish/Mediterranean dinners, and everything has been exceptional. The coffee is expertly brewed, the Turkish breakfast is a feast for the senses with so many fresh and flavorful components, and their dinner menu offers some of the best Mediterranean dishes around. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it a great place to start your day or end your evening.
